During summer, temperatures rise to record high levels, during winter, many countries around the world face heavy snowstorms and sub-zero temperatures.
Victims lose their homes, possessions and sometimes their lives to these climate-related 'disasters'.
It is no wonder then, that people are calling for the world's major economies to treat climate change as a serious issue which affects people's lives.
