Q: Does Adversity Bring Out The Best In People?

Adversity = something along the lines of hardship.

Some people need adversity to push or spur them onto success and better things. If you observe the lifestyle trends of most people, you would notice that those who are borned with a silver spoon normally do not achieve much because they already have everything. Cannot really blame them as there is no motivation for them to strive towards acheving more financially. However, you could argue that some of them would devote their time towards achieving other meaningful goals and objectives such as pursuing a just cause, protecting the environment or focusing on helping the poor and volunteering their time to provide assistance to the needy.

On the other hand, those people who were brought up in a low income environment would usually work hard towards achieving their goals of doing well in life. Studying hard and later working hard in their jobs and careers. To put it bluntly, they do not have much of a choice given their backgrounds.

Personally, I feel that adversity does bring out the best in people, although there are a number of alternate ways this essay could be argued.

I tend to agree that adversity brings out the best in people because of the fact that the person facing adversity has to swim or risk definite sinking.
